Minelab GPX-5000 Metal Detector
Minelab have introduced two new improved detectors, the GPX-4800 and the GPX-5000. Key features of these new detectors include improved electronics, new Soil/Timings, preset search modes, automatic ground balance, increased Rx Gain adjustment and much more. All of these new features, combined with with the established GPX ability to see through ground mineralisation, results in gaining the GPX Depth advantage.
The GPX Depth Advantage allows you to find gold much deeper than ANY other detector, in ALL ground conditions!
Minelab GPX-5000 key improvements
The new Minelab GPX 5000 introduces 3 new Timings and an improved Timing.
Fine Gold Timing
Fine Gold is a new timing specially written for use with Monoloop coils. It runs quietly in most heavily mineralized ground & 'hot rock' ground. It is not as quiet as Enhance but it has noticeable more depth and is ultra sensitive to small sub-gram nuggets. This timing will be a real winner!
Salt / Gold Timing
Salt / Gold is a new Timing, suitable both for DD and monoloop coils. While this Timing is fabulous on mineralised salt flats, it also works quite well on some highly mineralised patches. This timing also works well on wet sand on the beach.
Coin / Relic Timing
Coin / Relic is specially written for absolute neutral, benign soils. It gives increased depth and will be good for relic or treasure hunters who are looking for maximum penetration.
Enhance Timing
The enhance Timings on the GPX-5000 and 4800 is slightly improved from the 4500. The Enhanced timing has been optimised to provide more positive target signals in mineralized ground.
The Minelab GPX-5000 is supplied with the very popular 11" Monoloop as well as the standard 11" DD coil.
A lot of improved electronic development and field testing has gone into the circuit board of the new GPX-5000 and 4800 to increase target sensitivity and improve ground balance performance.
