Guidelines you will
need to observe to get the maximum performance and lifespan
out of your Lucky Lark Lithium Ion Power Pack.
Please charge your new battery
overnight, using the following steps:
When using the mains power supply (240V), first connect the
power supply to the mains wall socket, then connect the charger
to the power supply - the light on the charger will turn red,
orange, green and back to orange again. the orange light will
stay on until the end of the charging cycle. When the battery
is full, the light will turn green. When using the 12V car cigarette
lighter adapter follow the same sequence. First connect the
adapter to your cigarette lighter. A red light on the adapter
will come on to indicate that there is power. Then connect the
battery to the adapter.
The Lithium Ion Power Pack
has no memory, no need to run it empty before charging again.
It can be charged for any period of time.
For operation of the detector
turn on the "use" switch at the right side of the battery. A
small green light indicates "power on". For charging switch
to "charge".
This battery will operate a constant
voltage all day, but "die" without warning after 14 - 15 hours.
Large DD coils will reduce the running time. This unit runs
cool.
NEVER
have the battery on 12V charge while starting
your car. This can cause damage to charger and the battery.
NEVER
check the voltage directly at the battery output. The battery
has a fuse and if you are not careful with the multi-meter probes,
it is very easy to blow the fuse. Check the battery voltage
only at the other end of the cable connected to the battery.
The fuse of the Lithium Ion
Power Pack can easily be changed, should there be an external
short circuit (i.e. due to multi-meter probes or a faulty cable.
To use a speaker instead of headphones
simply connect the speaker to the phone/speaker socket.
