Neptune Sound Enhancers

• Sound Enhancers, Boosters are all add -on sound amplifying devices that may help you hear the sounds produced by the metal detector better. They make the detectors signal louder.
• They make all signals louder including unwanted ones.
• They add their own noise and distortion to the target signal.
• They add extra weight and clutter to your equipment.
• They can damage your hearing if used incorrectly.

If your hearing is good use these devices with caution. The clearest and undistorted sound is the sound coming directly from your detector! A good quality set of headphones is essential and you may not need anything else.
If your hearing is not what it used to be, an enhancer could be of great benefit in helping to hear those faint sounds. Make sure you pick one that has low distortion and noise.

Enhancers are fitted to the side of your detector or can also reside in your battery compartment of your back-pack. They are connected between your control box and your battery system. Headphones connect as usual or into the enhancer, depending on enhancer make or model. Some are powered externally by your detector battery also called In-line, some need a battery fitted (can be used by other non SD detectors as well).

A good quality external speaker is another option worth considering. At least you can wear a wide brimmed hat!
